Welcome to Lulu M. Stevens Elementary!

Nestled in Houston ISD’s Oak Forest neighborhood, Lulu M. Stevens Elementary School has been a vibrant hub of education and community since it opened in March 1952. Named in honor of Lulu M. Stevens (1881–1943), a beloved Houston ISD director of music, the school stands as a legacy of her dedication to education and the arts.

Today, Lulu M. Stevens Elementary serves over 600 students and continues to flourish as a STEAM magnet school, fostering creativity, innovation, and a love of learning. With a rich history spanning more than 70 years, our school embodies a legacy of excellence, community, and inspiration—values we proudly carry forward each day.
